What’s going on here, you ask?
Well, I was joking about writing Stephen Harper a letter or email, when it occurred to my friends and I that it would be much funnier if said letter started with “Dear Steve” rather than “To Mr. Prime Minister Stephen Harper.” Makes it sound like he’s some old buddy, doesn’t it? So then, we got to joking about writing to him as if we were his old buddy.
And there you have it. The jist of this blog. Pretending to be Steve’s old buddy writing him letters. Yes, I am aware that it’s a little lame, but humour me.
In fact, I would love it if you played along with my stupid game too. Maybe when you really just don’t feel up to studying for an exam, or when you haven’t had enough sleep and your brain is now so tired that this site actually becomes funny, or if you’re lonely and want to pretend that Steve really is your friend, you can write some letters too. Email them to letters.to.steve@gmail.com . Keep the content clean. Also, give me a first inital to post in the “from” part of the letter, not your whole name.
And that’s about it. Really Steve, don’t take my teasing you too personally; I tend to make fun of many different politicians in similar ways. (Oh, and for anyone not from Canada who wasn’t aware, Stephen Harper’s the prime minister, the guy in charge here.)
